What is the Eastside Fill and Feed? A group of friends from local Churches on the Eastside of Seattle has partnered with FMSC to host a MobilePack event. Last year 1,350 volunteers packed 270,864 MannaPack Rice meals in Redmond, WA. The amount of meals packed will be enough to fill one whole ocean container. This year our goal is to pack over 300,000 meals!
What is FMSC? Feed My Starving Children, an organization that with the help of Cargill and General Mills scientists created MannaPack meals.
What is MannaPack? MannaPack is a special formula that is easy to digest for severely malnourished children. It was also formulated to be culturally acceptable worldwide. The meals are distributed in nearly 70 countries through more than 60 different missionary partnerships at orphanages, schools, clinics, refugee camps and malnourishment centers.
Why FMSC? FMSC doesn’t simply send one shipment of food to a country. Instead, they continue to provide their mission partners with the food they need to maintain their feeding programs. 93% of all donations to FMSC goes directly to the food program.
Why should I donate? Your donations allow FMSC to bring the supplies and food to Seattle, and FMSC donates the meals to distribution partners around the world. Volunteers are responsible for raising the funds for the food itself. Each meal has a cost of $.24. 300,000 meals cost about $72,000.
Why should I volunteer? Packing the meals is a ton of fun. Bring the family, bring the coworkers, bring friends. It's fast paced, high energy, and very rewarding when you learn how many meals you pack.

Why are we doing this? Proverbs 22:9 - Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.
